Bridlington Caravan Club Site,
13th-15th April

Bridlington, Yorkshire is on the North Sea coast, with fabulous beaches all around. The campsite looks new, is on two levels with the toilet block on the higher level, meaning a bit of a climb for those on the lower pitches. Also rather windy during our stay.

Our second challenge presented itself here when the travel clips on the trailer jockey wheel snapped as we were offloading the car and disconnecting from Bixie. Travelling without this safeguard was not a pleasant prospect as there was some risk of the assembly loosening and dropping in transit. I phoned Brian James Trailers who arranged to courier two spare clips to our next site. In the meantime, I purchased some heavy duty garden wire and made a temporary repair for the the drive to Sandringham. Great service from Brian James Trailers - the replacements were waiting for me on arrival at Sandringham Caravan Club Site.

We enjoyed a trip to nearby Filey, loved it, such a lovely seaside town, an Edwardian town which retains a lot of its character. Also, we had the best ever fish and chips for lunch.
